The Avon Grove Red Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Unionville Longhorns at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Avon Grove's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three games, but Wednesday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.
On Monday, Avon Grove came up short against Downingtown West and fell 4-1.

| 03/19/26 vs Henderson | 9 |
Ryan Fuller was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Avon Grove saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kevin Nole, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Nole's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Unionville also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Bayard Rustin by a score of 6-2. The Longhorns haven't had much luck with the Golden Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Unionville also got a good showing from Wes Haiko, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Dom Scattolino made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Avon Grove's record is now 2-7. As for Unionville, their record now sits at 3-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Avon Grove has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Unionville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Avon Grove skirted past Unionville 4-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
