The Timpanogos Timberwolves will challenge the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Timpanogos is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

Timpanogos heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Monday. They fell 9-5 to Bear River. The Timberwolves' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Cooper Hawkes was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

Meanwhile, Crimson Cliffs faced Desert Hills in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Mustangs wound up with the same score they had in their last game (8-6), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Tyler Ransom was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

In other batting news, MASON BURBIDGE made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Sam Chappell, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Timpanogos' record now sits at 23-5. As for Crimson Cliffs, their record is now 16-12.

Timpanogos skirted past Crimson Cliffs 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March. Do the Timberwolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
