Football Recap: Lower Dauphin Falcons vs. Exeter Township Eagles
Lower Dauphin dropped to 7-4 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Exeter Township Eagles. The game marked the first time this season in which the Falcons were not able to get on the board.
Tyler Newman threw for 30 yards on four of ten attempts. Chase Goddard was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards. On the ground, Hunter Strohm rushed for 81 yards.
As for Exeter Township, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.4 points over those games.
Leomar Brown was his usual excellent self, rushing for 269 yards and two scores while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his tenth straight game with at least 122 rushing yards. Braylon Reinert was in the mix as well, providing Exeter Township with one touchdown.
Lower Dauphin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Exeter Township, they have already played their next matchup, a 41-34 win against Conestoga Valley on the 7th.
