Baseball Game Preview: Princeton Bulldogs vs. Eastern Wayne Warriors

For the first time this season, Princeton will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will take on the Eastern Wayne Warriors at 6:30 p.m. The last four games Princeton has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Princeton is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Rosewood just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-1.

Princeton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macon Boone, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. That hit marked the first that Boone got this season.

Meanwhile, Eastern Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 21-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wayne Preparatory Academy. Even if the Warriors couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Princeton's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Eastern Wayne, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Princeton took their win against Eastern Wayne in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Princeton since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
