Lyons's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Proviso West Panthers 79-19. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 24 points or more this season.

Lyons moved to 16-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Proviso West, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Lyons has already played their next matchup, a 44-26 victory against Lincoln-Way Central on the 31st. As for Proviso West, they will challenge Downers Grove North at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans' defense has only allowed 28.6 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
