Basketball Recap: Treasure Valley Classical Academy Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Treasure Valley Classical Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Greenleaf Friends Academy Grizzlies 64-29 on Wednesday. Treasure Valley Classical Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-14.

Treasure Valley Classical Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Braden Walker, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Bryson Kinney, who earned eight points.

Greenleaf Friends Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zane Fillmore led the charge by dropping a double-double with 19 points and 14 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Miller, who went 8-for-16 to rack up 19 points along with six steals and five assists.

Greenleaf Friends Academy has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Treasure Valley Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 43-37 loss against Wilder on the 4th. As for Greenleaf Friends Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 75-36 victory against Horseshoe Bend on the 6th.
