Football Game Preview: Carol City Chiefs vs. Central Rockets + Official Tickets

The Carol City Chiefs will head out on the road to take on the Central Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Carol City took a loss when they played away from home on October 10th, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Thursday. They snuck past Goleman with a 26-21 win.

Carol City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Beck, who rushed for 86 yards and one TD on only nine carries. Those 86 rushing yards gave Beck a new career-high. Rolaun Spain was in the mix as well, providing Carol City with two scores.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Carol City's defense and their four sacks. In that department, Daishaun Dorsett was the leader with two. Jeremiah Haggins got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Central had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They claimed a resounding 39-0 victory over the Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won five matchups by 38 points or more so far this season.

Central's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Carol City, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Carol City took a serious blow against Central when the teams last played back in October of 2023, falling 50-0. Thankfully for the Chiefs, Antonio Smith (who threw for 155 yards and four touchdowns on only nine passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
