Softball Recap: Taylor County Continues Home Dominance on Monday

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Taylor County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Marion County Knights, sneaking past 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won seven in a row.

Taylor County's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Marion County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.
