Mesa Ridge has gone 9-1 against Canon City recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Mesa Ridge is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

On Friday, Mesa Ridge made easy work of Coronado and carried off a 12-4 win. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

DonnaPaola Martinez spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Nahlia(Taco) Zunk was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Reagan Fabrizi, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Mesa Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coronado only posted a batting average of .240.

Meanwhile, Canon City unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Widefield.

Mesa Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 11-7-1. As for Canon City, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Mesa Ridge took their win against Canon City when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 16-2 score. Do the Grizzlies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
