Softball Recap: Nevada Wins Going Away Against Colfax-Mingo

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grand View Christian, Nevada was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks. Considering the Cubs have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Nevada's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Colfax-Mingo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Nevada didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-4 defeat against Madrid on the 6th. As for Colfax-Mingo, they will head out on the road to take on Belle Plaine at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
