Baseball Recap: Mulberry's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

It was a good run, but Mulberry unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Santa Fe Catholic Hawks by a score of 6-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 7-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

Griffin Cline was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Nic Partridge, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Mulberry's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Santa Fe Catholic, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Coincidentally, Mulberry and Santa Fe Catholic will both be playing McKeel Academy the next time they take the field. The Hawks will head out to face the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
