Soccer Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Kearney

Columbus faced Kearney in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Discoverers lost 4-1 to the Bearcats. Columbus were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kearney apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Columbus' goal came courtesy of Alayna Kudron, who's now up to two this season.

Columbus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kearney, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Elkhorn South on the 12th.
