Don Soffer Aventura has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Don Soffer Aventura will be strutting in after a win while Sheridan Hills Christian will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Don Soffer Aventura made easy work of Doctors Charter and carried off a 59-37 win. Given Don Soffer Aventura's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while Doctors Charter is ranked 621st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Nimrod Amiel Eilon was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 25 points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Paghete, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Sheridan Hills Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 43-39 to Boca Raton Christian. It was the first time this season that Sheridan Hills Christian let down their fans at home.
Don Soffer Aventura now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Sheridan Hills Christian, they have yet to win a game at home this season, leaving them with a 5-2 record.
Don Soffer Aventura was able to grind out a solid win over Sheridan Hills Christian when the teams last played back in January, winning 38-26. Will Don Soffer Aventura repeat their success, or does Sheridan Hills Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
