Recap: Union Knights/Damsels vs. Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falcons
There's no place like home for the Union Knights/Damsels, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 58-51 win over Allegheny-Clarion Valley on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Union also won the last time the pair played on January 2nd.
Union's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trey Fleming, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Fleming is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trent Fleming, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Union has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Allegheny-Clarion Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Union won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Laurel on January 23rd. Laurel is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Allegheny-Clarion Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Karns City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Karns City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Allegheny-Clarion Valley in Pennsylvania (Karns City is ranked 190th, while Allegheny-Clarion Valley is ranked 423rd).
