Basketball Game Preview: Cotter Warriors vs. Lead Hill Tigers

The Cotter Warriors will face off against the Lead Hill Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Cotter came up short against Jasper and fell 62-54. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Lead Hill came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 60-52.

Cotter better keep an eye on Noah Royce. He was instrumental in Lead Hill's win, going 8 for 17 en route to 21 points and four steals. Royce's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Brett Arnold, who went 5 of 12 to rack up 13 points.

Cotter's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Lead Hill, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 27-13.

Cotter might still be hurting after the 85-64 defeat they got from Lead Hill in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Royce, who went 13 for 22 on his way to 30 points along with seven boards and four steals. Now that Cotter knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
