Recap: Lee-Scott Academy Warriors vs. Ezekiel Academy Knights
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Deerfield-Windsor, the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors were happy to have found some success on Friday. They strolled past Ezekiel Academy with points to spare, taking the game 53-39.
Despite the loss, Ezekiel Academy saw an underclassman step up: Gianna Johnson scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Addi Newell, who scored seven points along with three blocks.
Lee-Scott Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ezekiel Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-3.
Lee-Scott Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Springwood at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Springwood will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Ezekiel Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Southwest Georgia STEM Charter at 1:30 p.m. on December 16th. Southwest Georgia STEM Charter will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 431st in Georgia, while Ezekiel Academy is ranked 91st in Alabama).
