Volleyball Recap: Jac-Cen-Del Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Switzerland County on Tuesday, Jac-Cen-Del came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the South Ripley Raiders on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss two weeks ago.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-10, 25-7.

Taylor Swinney paced Jac-Cen-Del's offense, picking up three kills. Swinney got some help from Brooklyn Simon and her seven assists.

South Ripley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaiya Rinear out in front who had 13 digs and five kills. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylie Effing, who had six digs and five aces.

Jac-Cen-Del's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for South Ripley, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 14-10.

Jac-Cen-Del has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against South Decatur on the 29th. As for South Ripley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Milan on the 29th.
