Recap: Willow Spring Storm vs. Fuquay - Varina Bengals
The Willow Spring Storm's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They suffered a tough 42-20 loss at the hands of Fuquay - Varina. Willow Spring lost against Fuquay - Varina in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 48-14 score last time.
Although Willow Spring took the loss, they still got scores from Eddie Mann and Greyson Mosley.
Willow Spring's loss was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 3-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.6 points per game. As for Fuquay - Varina, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.
Willow Spring does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fuquay - Varina will head out on the road to face off against Jack Britt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
