Football Game Preview: Mobridge-Pollock Tigers vs. Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones

The Mobridge-Pollock Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mobridge-Pollock is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

While Mobridge-Pollock's win against Lead-Deadwood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 18-15 victory over the Golddiggers on Friday. Those 18 points were actually the fewest the Tigers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Meanwhile, Clark/Willow Lake faced Deuel in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cyclones managed a 20-14 win over the Cardinals. 20 seems to be a good number for the Cyclones as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Mobridge-Pollock's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Clark/Willow Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything went Mobridge-Pollock's way against Clark/Willow Lake in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Mobridge-Pollock made off with a 21-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
