Soccer Recap: Newark Takes a Loss

Newark lost against Teays Valley back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Vikings, falling 8-2. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Newark were already down 4-1.

Newark's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Teays Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newark will take on Walnut Ridge at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Teays Valley, they will face off against Genoa Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
