Volleyball Recap: North Fork's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

North Fork waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the South Park Burros by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Miners, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

North Fork easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-11.

North Fork's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evie DeTienne, who had ten digs and two aces. DeTienne has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played. Brooke Angelovich was another key player, getting six digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: North Fork was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are a perfect 7-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

North Fork's record is now 12-8. As for South Park, they dropped their record down to 6-14 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

North Fork has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Monte Vista on the 31st. As for South Park, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Cedaredge on the 1st.
