Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask King). They blew past the Sultan Turks 12-1 on Wednesday. The Knights have beaten the Turks the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Turks has come to flipping the script.

Jakob Fowler made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Fowler was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Titan Root looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because King's is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-4 otherwise.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Nate Echelbarger, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Brandon McCann, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

King's record now sits at 7-4. As for Sultan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King's will challenge King's Way Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sultan, they will face off against Granite Falls at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
