Baseball Recap: Malvern Takes a Loss

Malvern suffered their biggest defeat since March 31st on Friday. They came up short against the Sandy Valley Cardinals, falling 11-1. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Malvern's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Sandy Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

Malvern has already played their next contest, a 5-3 defeat against David Anderson on the 25th. As for Sandy Valley, they will venture away from home to face off against Garaway at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cardinals 3.1, the Pirates 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
