Football Game Preview: NV - Old Tappan Golden Knights vs. Wayne Hills Patriots

The NV - Old Tappan Golden Knights will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Wayne Hills Patriots at 6:00 p.m. NV - Old Tappan is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

NV - Old Tappan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let West Milford get on the board and left with a 40-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Golden Knights' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Highlanders are ranked 76th).

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Wayne Hills and Passaic Valley, and Wayne Hills kept the tradition alive. The Patriots took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-6 win over the Hornets. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Wayne Hills found their leader in sophomore ETHAN ZACHARSKI, who rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Another player making a difference was CJ PUGLISI, who rushed for 81 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

Wayne Hills was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Wayne Hills, racking up 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of DAVID VAN HOOK, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

NV - Old Tappan's record now sits at 10-0. As for Wayne Hills, their record is now 9-2.

NV - Old Tappan strolled past Wayne Hills when the teams last played back in October by a score of 47-28. Will the Golden Knights repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
