Baseball Recap: Abbeville Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Abbeville is still undefeated this season after their contest against Ware Shoals on Tuesday, but Ware Shoals came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Abbeville Panthers came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Ware Shoals Hornets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-3 two weeks ago.

Adam Beiler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lohen Nickles, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
