Recap: Lugoff-Elgin Demons vs. Camden Bulldogs
The Lugoff-Elgin Demons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They had just enough and edged Camden out 86-84. The victory was just what Lugoff-Elgin needed coming off of a 76-55 loss in their prior game.
Lugoff-Elgin got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Savon Jenkins out in front who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. Braylen Mumford was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with five assists and four steals.
Lugoff-Elgin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Camden, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Lugoff-Elgin's road trip will continue as they head out to face Crestwood at 7:30 p.m. on December 18th. One thing working in Crestwood's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. Camden won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Military Magnet Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th. Military Magnet Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
