Basketball Recap: Marquette University Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Marquette University and Wisconsin Lutheran squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Marquette University had to settle for second. They took a hard 72-58 fall against the Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Hilltoppers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Vikings are ranked first).

Marquette University's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, their win was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-2.

As of now, neither Marquette University nor Wisconsin Lutheran have any future games scheduled.
