Softball Game Preview: Southeast Warren Warhawks vs. Grinnell Tigers

The Southeast Warren Warhawks will head out to challenge the Grinnell Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Southeast Warren is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Melcher-Dallas a 15-0 shutout on Monday. The Warhawks have beaten the Saints the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Saints has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Grinnell got the win against Vinton-Shellsburg on Monday by a conclusive 17-0. That 17-run margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Grinnell now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Southeast Warren, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Southeast Warren might still be hurting after the 12-2 loss they got from Grinnell in their previous matchup back in June of 2025. Can the Warhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
