Mason Avery put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March of 2024 on Monday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Avery's strong effort led Carl Albert over El Reno and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
