Volleyball Recap: Flanagan-Cornell Falcons vs. Hoopeston Cornjerkers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Flanagan-Cornell walked away with it. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Hoopeston Cornjerkers on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their five-match losing streak.
Flanagan-Cornell easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17.
Abbi Armstrong paced Flanagan-Cornell's offense, picking up six kills. Armstrong got some help from Kaylee Delheimer and her 11 assists. Marley Highland controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
