Softball Recap: Farwell Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Farwell's offense. They lost 9-0 to the Meridian Mustangs on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Farwell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Meridian, they moved to 10-8 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Farwell and Meridian could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Eagles will challenge Standish-Sterling at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (390 vs. 189). Meanwhile, Meridian (ranked 213th) will meet St. Louis (ranked 54th) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
