Basketball Game Preview: Northview Titans vs. Lithonia Bulldogs

Two dominant guards in Tamariana Bivins and Essence Grier are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Northview Titans will venture away from home to square off against the Lithonia Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Northview earned a 44-37 win over Southwest DeKalb. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kelly Reynolds, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harmonee Jackson, who had eight points.

Meanwhile, Lithonia lost 54-34 to Southwest DeKalb on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Panthers are ranked 87th).

Northview pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for Lithonia, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Everything came up roses for Northview against Lithonia in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 63-26 win. In that matchup, Northview amassed a halftime lead of 35-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
