Football Game Preview: Zimmerman Thunder vs. Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats + Official Tickets

The Zimmerman Thunder will face off against the Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Zimmerman will be strutting in after a win while Chisago Lakes Area will be coming in after a defeat.

On Friday, Zimmerman didn't have too much trouble with Mound-Westonka as they won 34-19. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Thunder's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the White Hawks are ranked 127th).

Meanwhile, Chisago Lakes Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The matchup between the Wildcats and South St. Paul didn't end well, with the Wildcats falling 36-20.

The victory made it two in a row for Zimmerman and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.0 points over those games. As for Chisago Lakes Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything came up roses for Zimmerman against Chisago Lakes Area in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 40-13 victory. Do the Thunder have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
