Basketball Recap: The Covenant Preparatory School Falls to Legacy Prep Christian Academy in First Game of Season

The Covenant Preparatory School had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Legacy Prep Christian Academy Lions by a score of 50-47 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost six in a row.

Leading Legacy Prep Christian Academy to victory were Warren Pekar and Christian Yearwood. Pekar posted 20 points, while Yearwood scored 16 points.

The Covenant Preparatory School will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on The Awty International at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Legacy Prep Christian Academy, they will challenge St. Thomas Episcopal at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
