Soccer Game Preview: Forge Christian vs. Gunnison

The Forge Christian Fury will face off against the Gunnison Cowboys on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Forge Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Bennett get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The matchup was close at halftime, but Forge Christian turned on the heat in the second half with four goals.

They hit Bennett with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Wyatt Arter (3), Lorenzo Jones, and Michael Domenico.

Meanwhile, Gunnison had just enough and edged out Denver Christian 1-0 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Gunnison.

Forge Christian's record is now 7-5-4. As for Gunnison, their record now sits at 6-8-2.

Forge Christian took their victory against Gunnison when the teams last played back in October of 2021 by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fury since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
