Soccer Game Preview: KIPP Denver Collegiate vs. Rocky Mountain Prep SMART

The KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Ocelotls at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. KIPP Denver Collegiate knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Rocky Mountain Prep SMART likes a good challenge.

KIPP Denver Collegiate is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Kennedy just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Thursday. They and the Commanders finished up their contest with a 4-4 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time KIPP Denver Collegiate have been dealt a draw since back in September.

Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain Prep SMART entered their tilt with DSST: Cedar on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Falcons. Itzamna Cendejas was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Rocky Mountain Prep SMART's win bumped their record up to 8-1-2. With that draw, KIPP Denver Collegiate's record moves to 7-1-2.

KIPP Denver Collegiate came out on top in a nail-biter against Rocky Mountain Prep SMART when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the White Tigers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
