Basketball Recap: Florence Comes Up Short

Florence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Auburn Tigers, falling 74-47.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Auburn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Antwane Daniels, who went 7-for-11 to rack up 21 points. Thanks to that strong game, Daniels now owns an excellent 46.2% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Trindon Manior, who shot 46% from the field on his way to 18 points.

Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Auburn, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Florence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 59-49 loss against Sparkman on the 25th. As for Auburn, they have also already played their next game, a 53-47 win against Madison Academy on the 25th.
