Recap: South Summit Wildcats vs. Delta Rabbits

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The South Summit Wildcats walked away with it. They really took it to Delta for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-7 victory at home. The win was nothing new for South Summit as they're now sitting on eight straight.

South Summit had a senior duo take command as Bracken Lassche threw for 208 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes and Trey Stembridge rushed for 82 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to South Summit's defense and their six sacks. Leading the way was Noah Gunnerson and his three sacks.

South Summit's victory was their fourth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.5 points per game. As for Delta, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

South Summit will be playing in front of their home fans against Layton Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Layton Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Delta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
