Volleyball Game Preview: Dixon Dukes & Duchesses vs. Winnebago Indians

The Dixon Dukes & Duchesses are taking a road trip to square off against the Winnebago Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Dixon came up short against Geneseo and fell 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Dukes & Duchesses in their meetings with the Maple Leafs: they've now lost four in a row.

While Dixon was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Winnebago earned a 2-0 win over Putnam County on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Winnebago's victory bumped their record up to 10-17-2. As for Dixon, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-9.

Dixon was able to grind out a solid win over Winnebago in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dukes & Duchesses since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
