Flag Football Recap: Windsor Forest Knights vs. Groves Rebels

Windsor Forest extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 13 on Monday, dropping them down to 0-8. They were dealt a 40-0 defeat at the hands of the Groves Rebels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-0 back in September.

As for Groves, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-2. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won seven games by 20 points or more so far this season.

Tamiya Washington produced another solid effort throwing for 157 yards and four TDs while completing 81.2% of her passes, and also punching in a pair of touchdowns on the ground. She also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making one tackle and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Daphney Detty was in the mix as well, providing Groves with two scores.

Windsor Forest has already played their next matchup (against Beach), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Groves, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Twiggs County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
