Soccer Game Preview: Andrean vs. Morgan Township

The Andrean Fighting 59ers will square off against the Morgan Township Cherokees at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Andrean's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Andrean turned things around against Kankakee Valley on Wednesday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Fighting 59ers who were credited with the win. Andrean got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Kankakee Valley's three. Gabe Williams was a massive factor in the win as he booted in 94 goals all by himself.

On Friday, Morgan Township got the win against Westville by a conclusive 5-1. The result was nothing new for Morgan Township, who have now won six matches by four goals or more so far this season.

Andrean's record now sits at 7-8-1. As for Morgan Township, their record is now 9-6-1.

Andrean beat Morgan Township by a goal in their previous matchup back in September, winning 2-1. Will the Fighting 59ers repeat their success, or do the Cherokees have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
