Volleyball Recap: East Butler Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when East Butler challenged Cross County on Monday. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-15, 25-10.

Kadence Calahan paced East Butler's offense, picking up four kills. Calahan got some help from Lucy Polivka and her 11 assists.

East Butler has been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-25 record this season. As for Cross County, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 24-8.

East Butler does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cross County, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Howells-Dodge on the 28th.
