Baseball Recap: Cajon Continues Home Dominance on Friday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cajon had no problem doing just that on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the San Dimas Saints a 4-0 shutout. The Cowboys were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Saints, so the Cowboys were just returning the favor.

Not much got past Gavin Garcia, who gave up just four hits to keep San Dimas off the board. Garcia has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cajon's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Koster, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Cajon's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for San Dimas, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-14 record this season.

Cajon has already played their next contest, a 5-2 loss against St. Francis on the 19th. San Dimas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
