Volleyball Recap: Dunkirk Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Portville, Dunkirk was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Mount Mercy Academy Magic by a score of 3-1.

While Dunkirk might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mount Mercy Academy scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-27, 25-22, 25-21.

Mount Mercy Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Rodriguez, who had eight digs and three aces.

Dunkirk's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Mount Mercy Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Dunkirk has already played their next match (against Olean), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mount Mercy Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Sacred Heart Academy on the 8th.
