Volleyball Game Preview: Horizon Hawks vs. Cypress Creek Bears

The Horizon Hawks will challenge the Cypress Creek Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Horizon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Lake Nona.

While Horizon won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-22, 25-14.

Horizon found their leader in sophomore Jonathan Nogueira, who had ten digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Cypress Creek had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Longhorns as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Cypress Creek never let Harmony on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-21.

Cypress Creek's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. As for Horizon, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.
