Basketball Recap: University Falls Despite Big Games from Ashley Kelly and Katty Noundjio

It was a proper cat-fight when University faced off against Fairfax on Wednesday. The University Wildcats lost to the Fairfax Lions on the road by a 42-26 margin. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly 16 points.

Despite the defeat, University had strong showings from Katty Noundjio, who posted ten points, and Ashley Kelly, who put up ten points. That was a full 38.5% of University's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Fairfax got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mila Spencer out in front who went 6-for-12 en route to 16 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Petty-Wright, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 14 points.

University has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for Fairfax, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

University has already played their next game (against Westchester), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fairfax does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
