Basketball Recap: Sweet Springs Takes a Loss

Sweet Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 72-26 defeat at the hands of the Carrollton Trojans. The Greyhounds lost against the Trojans in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 54-41 score last time.

Sweet Springs' loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Carrollton, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

Sweet Springs has already played their next contest, a 73-66 victory against Orrick on the 11th. As for Carrollton, they will challenge Lafayette County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Carrollton's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Lafayette County has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
