Volleyball Recap: Clinton Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Brynn Manning and Jakyra Spratt

Clinton lost against Notre Dame de Sion back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cardinals fell 3-1 to the Storm.

While Clinton ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 21-25, 25-17.

Jakyra Spratt and Brynn Manning certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Spratt had 20 digs and one assist, while Manning had 26 assists and 15 digs. Manning has been hot, having posted 21 or more assists the last eight times she's played.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-2. As for Notre Dame de Sion, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 7-14.

Clinton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Pleasant Hill on the 25th. As for Notre Dame de Sion, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Shawnee Heights on the 27th.
