Basketball Recap: La Habra Finds Home Court Redemption Against Canyon

There's no place like home for La Habra, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They secured a 76-70 W over the Canyon Comanches on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Highlanders: when they faced off against the Comanches back in January, they had to take a 81-64 defeat.

When it comes to explaining why Canyon lost, don't look at Brandon Benjamin. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 31 points and 14 rebounds. That was a full 44.3% of Canyon's points, marking the 12th time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Staf Yilmazturk, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards.

La Habra's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game.
