Baseball Recap: Arcadia Redskins vs. Vanlue Wildcats
Arcadia scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Monday. Everything went their way against the Vanlue Wildcats as the Arcadia Redskins made off with a 17-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Arcadia also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.
Jacoby Ellis made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned run or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Ellis was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Arcadia let Isaac Stoner and Owen Rader loose on the outfield. Arcadia will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Vanlue, they will head out on the road to square off against Arlington at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Vanlue is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 16-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
